The Ochoa Family

I think it's been way too long since I have updated this blog. So - here goes....... We are getting close to the end of the school season (once again!!) can't believe that. The boys are very anxious about having the summer off. We will be taking vacation in June for a family reunion with Robby's family down in South Padre Island. We will spend 10 glorious days on the beach!! I can't wait!

We have been very busy with Mom in school and baseball season. The boys both played this year, Eli on Dixie III and Jacob in T-Ball. Both boys did very well. We have also been spending lots of time with the Knights Baseball team. This is my nephew, Jared's team run by Coach Luis and Uncle Owen. These boys have a lot of talent and we love watching them play!! They have won the past two tournaments played!!

We visited El Paso in February for Ben's baptism! It's crazy to think that our oldest boys are 8 going on 9! Where is the time going?

Jacob's birthday is fast approaching and will be turning 6 years old going into the first grade. He is doing very well in school, loves to read, LOVES math (favorite subject) and loves his precious Teacher, Mrs. Williamson.

Eli will be a 3rd grader next school year! WHAT?? That's crazy! Oh well, can't keep them babies forever. He is reading very well (I really have to pull the books out of his hand so he will go to sleep at night) The biggest news is that Eli will be playing football for the Bay Area Sharks this fall! He is so excited and can't wait to get started. He and I will be training together this summer to prepare him for working out in the heat of July/August! Go Baby Go!!

Last but not least by any means, Robby and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary this year! We were released from our calling as Sunday School teachers this past week. He was called as the first counselor in Sunday School and I was called to be Activities Chairperson! I am very excited and know this spot is right up my alley!! South Shore Ward get ready to party!!

AND FINALLY.......... Becky is getting married in October!! Congratulations to her! Keep checking in for updates on the wedding!

Santa visited on the fire truck for Christmas!!

Every year Santa visits all the neighborhoods in Seabrook. He throws candy to the kids as they drive by. The boys ran gathering as much candy as they could. They giggled - then fought over tootsie rolls - then giggled some more!

Piano Recital

Eli and Jacob had their piano recital before Christmas. They both did so well! Mommy is very proud of how well they both played!!

A year has passed <3

December 9, 2009 marked the one year anniversary that we lost our son and brother Matthew. The boys and I purchased balloons and released them in memory of him. As a family on this earth we will not get the pleasure of raising our son and brother, but we will be reunited in heaven.

Elijah's baptism

On September 12, 2009 Eli was baptized! What an exciting day for our family!! We are so proud of him for making this decision! Dunk 'em!!

Broken arm and stitches!!

The Ochoa boys are at it again! August we had stitches in Jacob's chin when he decided to climb on the counter to get a cup. He slipped and hit his chin on the granite counter top! By the way - this happened at 12:30 in the middle of the night!

3 1/2 weeks ago - Eli was in the office and decided to climb on the computer chair to get a book. Mind you he is tall enough to reach the top of the computer desk, but for some reason he made this choice?? Well - the story Dad and I got was, "Jacob through a pillow at me and I lost my balance!" When he fell he tangled in the chair and received a complete break in the radius bone - which required surgery and pins to be put in place for healing!! 2 days later he had a blue cast on from shoulder to knuckles. Yesterday the Dr. removed the pins from his arm and replaced the monster cast with a smaller red one right below his elbow to his knuckles. He will go back in 3 weeks to have an X-ray to make sure he has healed properly and then - cast free!!

The Boy's and ME!

Seabrook, Texas, United States
My first passion in life is being a Wife and Mother! My second is being a Black Belt in Martial Arts and a workoutaholic! I am a full time working mother with two beautiful energetic boys that fill my days to the max! Let me introduce you to them: Elijah is loving 6 years old, loves spending time with his Nana and Papa! He enjoys playing LEGO Starwars on his Playstation with his younger brother Jacob, jumping on the trampoline, hanging out with his friends, reading his scriptures (he is working on memorizing the Articles of Faith), and fishing. Jacob is my very energetic 4 year old. His passion is playing the LEGO Starwars video game (and would do so non-stop if we would let him!), loves spending time with his friends, jumping on the trampoline, reading books, and mostly spending time with his big brother Eli!
